I'm Tara Metts! I'm the owner of Pretty Little Things, formerly known as Magnolia Events. I started Magnolia Events back in July 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic! Many thought I was crazy, but over the past three years, I've had the privilege of beautifying around 200 people's events, and to top it off, we were honored with the Small Business of the Year award in 2022!

I've lived in Southeast Oklahoma for the majority of my life and have been planning events for as long as I can remember, professionally since 2012. When I decided to go full-time and start a business, I knew that I wanted to give back to the community, so that's always been my goal. I've been a member of the Chamber of Commerce since 2021. I was in the 2021/2022 Class of Leadership Durant,  and I have previously served on the Durant Main Street Board.

If you were to ask me what my favorite event I've done is, I couldn't tell you! Every event or party I do is special to me because I feel blessed and honored to take part in helping people create memories. However, the Magnolia Festival is always one of my favorite annual events because they give me so much creative freedom. Each year, I try to create something more impressive than the year before!
